SUBI SURESH NO MORE!

Actor Subi Suresh succumbs to liver ailment: Did not eat on time and even took thyroid meds irregularly:

Many mourn the death of Malayalam actor Subi Suresh, who breathed her last on 22 February 2023. The 41-year-old was reportedly undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments and passed away due to acute liver failure. Following the tragic death of the TV host-cum-comedian, a video, uploaded on her YouTube Channel, is making rounds on social media. In the video, the late actor revealed that her unhealthy lifestyle was one of the primary reasons behind her worsening health.

"As I did not follow any good habit of having food and medicine on time, I am suffering the consequences altogether now," she said.

“Ahead of a shoot, I became severely ill and was unable to eat anything due to body pain, chest pain and gastric problems. After two days, I was completely exhausted and decided to take an ECG in Thiruvananthapuram. It was also found that my body did not possess enough potassium. Even afterwards, I didn't take any medicines correctly," she added.

Furthermore, she revealed that she couldn't even digest tender coconut water.

The actor clarified that it wasn't money that she was after, but her work that drove her.

It was only after she developed gastric issues that she was forced to schedule an appointment with a gastroenterologist.

In the video, Subi Suresh shared that she had a stone in the pancreas, which was removed through medication. She said she was also suffering from thyroid issues. “I was not having medicine for that properly. The doctors say if one starts taking pills for thyroid, the medication can’t be stopped in 90% of the cases. In between, I stopped thyroid medicine intake based on medical advice. But then I contracted the illness again,” she added. That's when the actor finally decided to resort to a healthy lifestyle.

"I decided to follow healthy eating habits and began to take food three times a day. I couldn’t recollect many such occasions in the last few years when I had food thrice a day. My tardiness, to an extent, led to my present condition. After returning home from the shoot, I used to sleep till 4 or 5 in the evening. Even if I woke up in between, I would only drink water and return to sleep. Despite being hungry, I wouldn’t take food due to my laziness. Most often, I used to have food only once a day,” she said in the video.

“My younger brother and mother used to scold me for not taking food on time. Both of them are ever ready to bring me my favorite food. But I don’t feel like eating. I don’t eat when I am hungry, but only when I feel like eating,” she said.

Towards the end of the video, the actor advises her fans to follow a healthy lifestyle. “I’m telling you this so that you can avoid what happened to me. Try to have some food at regular intervals. It could be the previous day’s rice or rice gruel with pickle. Or nuts or fruits. The doctors are advising me to have good fruits, especially bananas, pomegranates, avocados, and leafy vegetables, to increase my potassium level. You can have spinach. Eat carrot or cucumber after mixing lime juice or preparing salads. I have also started having them, dears. If there are people leading an unhealthy lifestyle like me, then they should make it a point to take a little care, so that they can avoid putting their family in difficulty later," she said.
